Reminder: Groom ISD will not have classes on Monday, 11/04/2024. Classes resume Tuesday, 11/05/2024 at Regular Time. Have a great extended weekend.
Groom ISD is now accepting referrals for students who may need Gifted/Talented Services for the school year. This program is designed for students who exhibit intellectual and creative thinking abilities at an extraordinary level not normally served in the regular classroom. Services are provided only upon identification of education needs of the student. Anyone wishing to refer a student attending Groom ISD in kindergarten through twelfth grade this school year is asked to go by the front office and request a copy of the referral form. This form must be returned to the school by November 29th. Those unable to go by the school should call the school office to request a form to be sent to them.

Reminder: On November 7th from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm, our 8th graders will attend the EPIC Middle School College & Career Fair at WT. Students will tour WT and explore careers in the Texas Panhandle. Lunch is provided. If you have any questions please reach out to Mrs. Shuck.

Congratulations to the GISD Cross Country teams! Boys and girls competed well at the regional meet today. Hope Hickey was our top girl finisher, placing 31st; Kenneth McGinty placed 49th to lead the Groom boys. Our runners saw improved times and personal bests. Go Groom!!
The GISD Yearbook staff has been learning page design. They recently practiced what they have learned by planning a "Delicious Design" page. They followed up the activity by transferring their designs to the yearbook software.
